Meg Jardine

Professor Meg Jardine is Director of the University of Sydney NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney. A practising physician at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, she is internationally recognised for her leadership in clinical trials that improve outcomes for people with chronic kidney disease, diabetes and other major non-communicable diseases.


Her work includes developing innovative, cost-effective trial methodologies, leading major collaborative research programs and contributing to national and international clinical guidelines. Professor Jardine serves on the Executive Committee of the International Society of Nephrology and is a Board Member of the Kidney Health Initiative, a public-private partnership involving clinicians, industry and the FDA. She is Chair of the American Society of Nephrology Late-Breaking Clinical Trials Committee and Immediate Past Chair of the ISN Advancing Clinical Trials Group. She is a former member of the KDIGO Executive Committee, ACTA, and the ANZSN Research Advisory Committee.


She received the ANZSN TJ Neale Award in 2020 for her outstanding contribution to nephrology research.
