GlomCon Foundation is proud to announce an exciting new phase of its ongoing mission to improve patient care and outcomes in glomerular diseases. Since 2019, more than 550 nephrologists have graduated from GlomCon’s fellowship programs. Many of these alumni have launched new glomerular disease clinics, participated in groundbreaking clinical trials, and earned recognition as leaders and experts in the field.

From April through September, more than 70 representatives from leading academic and research institutions will join small working groups to establish guiding principles and requirements for these Centers of Excellence. Using a reiterative consensus process (Delphi panels), they will address topics such as:

-
Clinical Expertise and Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Strengthening the capabilities and resources available to patients with complex glomerular diseases.
-
Research and Innovation: Creating a framework for advancing clinical trials and fostering innovations in diagnostics and therapeutics.
-
Education and Professional Development: Outlining comprehensive training programs to keep clinicians at the forefront of emerging knowledge and therapies.
-
Patient-Centered Care: Ensuring that patient experiences, outcomes, and support systems remain a central focus.
