Overview

Our Center aims to provide comprehensive, leading-edge, and compassionate care for individuals living with glomerular diseases. We have expertise in treating patients with (but not limited to): IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, minimal change disease, FSGS, membranous nephropathy, ANCA-associated vasculitis, pregnancy-associated kidney diseases, renal thrombotic micro-angiopathies and others. We work with a multi-disciplinary team including UCSF experts in rheumatology (lupus and vasculitis), hematology-oncology, obstetrics/maternal fetal medicine, allergy/immunology and others, and have a dedicated specialty pharmacy to help with novel/advanced therapies. We are an experienced study site for phase 2b/3 clinical trials for investigational drugs for glomerular diseases.

Accepting trainee applications?

Through the UCSF General Nephrology Fellowship, 1-2 fellows per year will be selected for the Glomerular Disease Track during their second year of training. They have dedicated glomerular disease clinic as their longitudinal outpatient clinic and focused advanced education in GN management.
