Overview

This is a public-funded GN OPD at the Madras Medical College, which was first set up as a weekly clinic in 2018. Patients with various glomerulonephritides are on follow up, including lupus nephritis, steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome, IgA nephropathy, and C3 glomerulopathy. All medications (including immunosuppressants), investigations, consultations, and hospitalisations are entirely free of cost. The GN clinic caters to around 75 patients every week, and is staffed by the faculty and residents of the Institute of Nephrology, Madras Medical College.
